$1,000 Senior Scholarships
Each year, Post 115 awards one $1,000 Scholarship to a Senior Applicant from each of Dickson County’s high schools. The scholarship is based on the Senior’s Application and is determined by a majority vote of the Post Body present at the April Post meeting, which is held on the fourth Thursday of the month. Applications are due to each school’s Senior Advisor before 15 April and those applications will then be remitted to Post 115 on 15 April.
In 2025, awardees were: Curtis “CJ” Betts (left) of Dickson County High School and Lucas Axelson (right) of Creek Wood High School. CJ intends to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement and Lucas will pursue a Degree in Nuclear Engineering. Lucas is pictured wearing his father’s Deployment Ring, which was awarded to National Guardsmen who completed a second deployment in the Global War on Terror.

The 2024 Senior Scholarship awardees were: Stacy Lee from Dickson County High School and Hailey Drake from Creek Wood High School. (Hailey Drake was unavailable for a photo.)
